Recreation is for adults too! Here at the Quincy Family YMCA, it’s our mission to provide quality programs for youth and adults. Serving Quincy and surrounding areas, as a cause-driven organization for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We strive each day to spark real change in anyone who sets foot in our facility.

Active Older Adults

As a part of the Active Older Adults program, the YMCA offers a variety of exercise classes for men and women ages 50+. Seniors are encouraged to stay active with the YMCA through fitness classes that fit their individual health goals. Our AOA Fitness classes are available to help members that are looking for a specialized workout to improve overall well-being at a friendly pace. Members love YMCA Group Exercise classes for their adaptability, encouragement, and support for all skill levels – including members with physical limitations. These classes focus on your mobility, flexibility, safety, and overall health.

Fit to Fight

Parkinson’s
We are learning every day that there are ways in which people with Parkinson’s disease can enhance their daily quality of life and even build impressive power, strength, flexibility, and speed! By exercising with coaches who know the ropes, you can fight your way out of the corner and start to feel and function better. Boxing works by moving your body in all planes of motion while continuously changing the routine as you progress through the workout. These classes have proven that anyone, at any level of Parkinson’s, can actually lessen their symptoms and lead a healthier/happier life. Call us today!

Adult Sports

Sports are not just for kids! We believe that even adults should have time to play and stay healthy. Y Sports Leagues are the perfect place to meet new people, try something different, stay healthy, and show off your skills. We offer dedicated facility time for basketball and racquetball.

Pickleball

It’s not about Pickles! Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic ball (waffle ball) and composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. It can be played in singles or doubles format (like tennis, but on a modified court with modified equipment).

The Y Front Desk has paddles and nets available for sign out!
