Find your Y can be hard, start with a group fitness class to get you going!

The Y offers a wide variety of your favorite group fitness class FREE with a Y membership. From Boxing to yoga, to High Fitness and Get fit, we have something for every interest and ever fitness level. Our experience and high energy instructors are eager to help you find your Y Group Fitness class(s)! With every class you will gain confidence, endurance, strength and increased energy. All group fitness classes are coed and inclusive to everyone. The Y has more Group Fitness classes offered than any other recreation facility, come find your Y class today!

Are you hesitant to join the Y because you’re afraid you may not like it, fit your schedule, or just not for you but you want to try some Group Fitness Classes? Punch cards are available to any non-member for $48. These can be purchased at the front desk or online. These punch cards are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another person. All punch cards expire a year from the date purchased.

What To Expect In Group Fitness

The variety of our group fitness classes will motivate you through music, accountability and comradery! In a group fitness class you have the benefit of professionals showing you how to do each move with proper form, high energy, and consistent encouragement. Here at the YMCA our instructors strive to make our classes inclusive, informative, and allow room for modifications if needed. The Y is proud to offer 50+ FREE classes every month to our members!

Paid Group Fitness Classes

99% of our Group Fitness classes are FREE with a Y Membership except the following: High Fitness & Boot Camp. These classes have a loyal following and a high energy atmosphere.

High Fitness

A combination of aerobic and anaerobic training, complemented by active recovery tracks, makes our flagship format an extremely effective and efficient form of training. Alternating bouts of high-intensity movement with moderate/active recovery means you avoid plateaus, and constantly challenge your body in a safe and effective way that works for YOU. HIGH Fitness is a ZERO equipment, full body workout that has been shown to improve overall endurance, stamina, strength, and cardiovascular health. More importantly, it yields extremely important mental health benefits. Beyond the workout, HIGH Fitness brings fun, fabulous music, and a community like no other – connection, support, and inclusion reap their own benefits on both the mind and body!

  • $5 drop in fee or purchase a punch card for 10 classes. Cost is $20 for members or $40 for non-members.
  • Punch cards are available for purchase in house only.

Morning Classes

Classes start as early as 5:45AM, get that early workout in to start your day off right! We offer a variety of classes throughout the morning with childcare/nursery available for infants as early as 6 weeks to 6 years of age.

Lunch Crunch Classes

A new name to the lunch crowd, here you can get a quick and effective 30–45-minute workout in before heading back to the office! Whether it’s meditating through Yoga or increasing your heart rate through Tabata, our Lunch Crunch Classes will meet your Health & Wellness needs.

Evening Classes

Head to the gym after your work day is over, good or bad, rain or shine, come unwind in one of our Group Fitness Evening Classes. Childcare is available to all members at no additional cost.

Senior Y Day

Seniors get into the YMCA for FREE last Friday of every month for the next YEAR! Access to ALL amenities at the YMCA! The YMCA is providing a Specific Group Fitness schedule with classes like Tai Chi Chair Yoga Get Fit Aquatic Classes AND MORE! View schedule on the back starting in June!

Youth Fitness

Youth Weight Training

This class is designed for Young Teens ages 11-16 that want to be independent in the Wellness Center and Free Weight Room. Completion of ALL 8 Sessions required to pass the class

Verbal test at the end of class about machines, weight training mechanics, muscle groups, & gym etiquette

Passing the Youth Weight Training Class grants access to the Free Weight, Hammer Strength, and Wellness Center areas WITHOUT an adult for those under the age of 14.

Kid Fit Club

Ages 6-11.

Drop off your children and enjoy a workout knowing they will be taken care of and staying active.

Activities are FREE! weather permitting 8:30-9:30am except for Kids Boxing and POUND.

In case of rain, activity will be held in the BFIT Room at the trainer’s discretion.

All other activities will be outside. Kids will meet by the nursery door.

Free to members $10 non-member drop in Registration is necessary for first time register at quincyymca.net or at the front desk!
