YMCA of West Central Illinois will be suspending operations starting March 19 through April 7.
Out of an abundance of caution, the YMCA of West Central Illinois has made the difficult decision to suspend operations and restrict public access to all our facilities (Quincy, Mt. Sterling, Barry and Ursa) to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We will reassess the situation weekly and follow the guidelines established by the Center for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and local health organizations.
Our branches will be suspending regular operations starting Thursday, March 19 through April 30, and we will be pivoting to an emergency operation center. The Y is actively planning solutions to serve the pressing needs of each community by working with local authorities and other providers to collaborate on solutions.

Regular exercise is one component of a healthy lifestyle that can help reduce stress and prevent illness. While we would love to see you at the Y, we honor and respect each individual’s choice with regard to your health. If you are practicing social distancing, we support this decision and have a variety of at-home exercises options for you to try on our Virtual Facebook page called Virtual Quincy Family YMCA.
Thank you for your patience and grace as we work through these unprecedented times. We encourage you to follow us on social media for updates. For more information on how we are keeping our YMCA healthy, click here or give us a call with any questions you may have at 217-222-9622.
