Adams County Taking Initiative on Obesity Now (ACTION) is a program that has been designed to encourage, educate and motivate the citizens of Adams County to embrace and live a healthier lifestyle. The goal of the program is to remove the label of Adams County being the most obese county in Illinois.
Action program participants will receive free access to the Quincy Family YMCA or Kroc Center for a 10-week period contingent on meeting program requirements. ACTION participants must choose one facility. Participants will have the opportunity to attend free health seminars and gain free access to educational information on fitness, wellness and nutrition.
WHO CAN TAKE PART?
The ACTION program is open to all Adams County residents along with anyone employed by an Adams County business*. Participants (8+) must stay committed throughout the program to receive free benefits.
