Racing for the Troops

Any day during the month of July racers can come to the Y to complete the course; racers are given a stop watch to record their time. “On their honor” they are to complete the following workout in or around the YMCA:

  • 1 mile jog on treadmill
  • 200 feet on Jacob’s Ladder
  • 1 lap of lunges (around track)
  • 50 pull ups
  • 50 box jumps (box is marked)
  • 50 tri dips
  • 50 burpees w/pushup
  • 50 kettlebell swings
  • 50 double arm slams w/battling ropes
  • 50 air squats
  • 200 jump rope skips
  • 50 mountain climbers

Once complete, you will turn in your time at the Welcome Desk. Your name and time is posted on the BIG Finishers’ Board. Prizes awarded to Top Male, Top Female & Top Youth (ages 14-17)

Cost is a free will donation and half the proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
